Ok. I have heard about the Paralympics. I have also heard about something called the Olympics for the Disabled. Are those two the same thing? I couldn't find a scrap of info on the latter no matter how hard I tried.

Maybe someone is trying to cash in the paralympics I wouldn't be surprised...as the competition, has to my knowledge, never been known by any other name...

The olympics for the disabled I think is the new name for the special olympics. Not sure on that though.

Well Scotland hosted the special olympics at the weekend and it was not referred to by any other name...
